Most of the work on the construction of a new neighborhood in the «North-East» of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky can be completed in 2013. The Governor of the Kamchatka region Vladimir Ilyukhin informed about this.
Vladimir Ilyukhin met with the Minister of regional development of Russia - Igor Slunaev, during a business trip to Moscow. They discussed the implementation of the federal target program «Improving the sustainability of residential houses, the main objects and life-support systems in seismic regions of the Russian Federation in the 2009-2018 period».
1.066 billion rubbles will be allocated for the implementation of the program on Kamchatka in 2013. There are provided nearly two billion rubbles more in 2014-2015. "If these funds will be made available to us in 2013, we will be able within a short period of time to complete the entire scope of work on construction of the second phase of a new neighbourhood in the North-East, - said Vladimir Ilyukhin. We remind that the total area planned for the construction of the neighborhood – 48. 5 million square meters.
"In addition, we have prepared projects on improving seismic stability of social sites. In the case of funds transfer, this year we will work to enhance the Medical College pool, two schools and two kindergartens in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and improving seismic stability of two schools in Ust-Kamchatsk. We had planned to begin construction of another small neighbourhood in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Elizovo in 2015. With the fund advance, these works can begin much earlier," said the head of the region.
