There was the Governor Council meeting on civil society development for the first time in 2013
There was held a meeting with the Governor of the Kamchatka region on the development of civil society.

The members of the Council considered three issues: Organization of medical care to child population; development of small and medium-size business; the creation of the Council on the development of civil society and human rights.

Rapporteurs noted an increase of the number of children with diseases of the upper respiratory tract for 20 %. There were named - timely vaccination, health promotion and treatment as preventive measures.

Another negative trend is increasing number of cases of tuberculosis.

The members of the Council noted the effective work of the Kamchatka State Fund for the support of entrepreneurship while talking about the development of small and medium-size business in Kamchatka region.

The members of the Council raised the issue of high cost on services on cargo delivery to the Peninsula via the sea port of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, which in turn increases the ultimate cost of goods for consumers.

It is worth noting that in 2013, the Council under the Governor of Kamchatka Land will work in expanded membership and expanded powers. For the next meeting of the Council it will be called as "civil society and human rights".
