Natalya Orehova won the prologue race “Beringia-2017”
The mushing champion of Kamchatka Kray Natalya Orehova became the winner of the prologue race hold within the festival opening of “Beringia-2017” on 25 February. The sportswoman’s dog sled passed the distance of 10 km for 25 minutes and 48 seconds.

The traditional Kamchatka competition of the current year is given the status of the phase of the Russian Cup Dog Sled Race. Twenty-five mushers from Kamchatka, two representatives from Chukotka Autonomous Okrug and a sportsman from Khabarovsk Kray have been participating in the race.

The winner will get the main prize – certificate for 100 thousand rubles. The winners of the second and the third prize will be awarded with certificates for 50 and 30 thousand rubles.

The start of the main race of “Beringia-2017” is planned on 5 March. The participants are supposed to pass the distance of 1500 km. The sportsmen will finish in Ust-Kamchatsk tentatively on 28 Match.
