Kamchatka successfully shows its tourism potential in Hong Kong
Russian Tourism Road Show took place in Hong Kong on June 15. It was organized by Federal Agency for Tourism in Russia and National marketing centre for tourism Visit Russia.

The representatives of the largest travel companies of Hong Kong and province Guandun (top of arrivals from China to Russia) got information about new routes and travel programs in Russia.

The representative of Kamchatka at the Road Show was Marina Anishchenko, deputy head of the Agency for Tourism and Foreign Relations of Kamchatka. She made the presentation about tourism potential of Kamchatka. The participants of the Road Show also watched the film "Kamchatka. Journey to the other planet" with Chinese subtitles.

Within the Road Show there were b2b-meetings of the representatives of Russian and Chinese travel business.

The number of visa-free group tours from China during the first quarter of 2016 has grown by 47%, exceeding 35 thousand trips. Chinese tourists are one of the most generous in the world.

They spend about 530 US dollars during the day in Russia. Besides, they spend about 58% of their travel budget on shopping. They prefer to buy local unique souvenirs and luxury goods - jewelry, brands.
