Light aviation development project in Kamchatka gets governmental support
Light aviation is to be developed in Kamchatka. Such task was given by Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia and Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, during his visit to Kamchatka.

Tikhon Shpilenok, the director of Kronotsky Nature Reserve, brought a project for airport networks creation to Yury Trutnev. He believes, that using light aviation in Kamchatka will make tourist transportation better and cheaper.

Tikhon Shpilenok said, that light aviation might help jump-start the tourism. It will make travelling around Kamchatka more affordable for the people of Kamchatka.  A well-considered development will not only make the transportation cheaper, but it will help reduce negative impact on nature.

Nowadays, the aviation sector in Kamchatka is represented mostly by helicopters. The cost of light aircraft operation (9-12 passengers) is 50-60% lower.
