Klyuchevskoy volcano spews ash to altitude of 5,5 km
Klyuchevskoy volcano in Kamchatka has spewed ash to an altitude 5,5 km above sea level.

The trail moved 80 km north-east.

Volcano activity has greatly increased since the beginning of the month.

The last eruption of Klyuchevskoy volcano was on 1 January 2015 and lasted until 24 March. Klyuchevskoy volcano is the highest active volcano in Eurasia. Its height is 4750 m. The closest populated locality is Klyuchi rural settlement, which is 30 km away from the volcano.
