Biathlon complex n. a. Vitaliy Fatianov in Kamchatskiy krai received the license IBU of “B” category

Biathlon complex named after Vitaliy Fatianov in Kamchatskiy krai received the license IBU of “B” category. Such a decision was made at the session of executive committee of International Union of biathletes that was held from 4th till 6th of November in Pchenchhan (South Korea). In the same day together with biathlon complex of Kamchatka the Centre of Winter sports «Pearl of Siberia» in Tyumen received the license IBU of “A” category.

The first vice-president of IBU, executive director of the Union of Biathletes of Russia Sergei Kushyenko noted in one of the interviews that Kamchatka received the license without any problems, as large international competitions were carried out there several years running already.

«It was a joyful, long-awaited, but quite expected event for us, - Vice-chairman of the Government of Kamchatskiy krai Aleksey Voitov commented the situation. – Commission of IBU under the direction of vice-president of the organization Gottlibe Tashler has arrived in Kamchatka in the beginning of September this year  and has been quite satisfied with the infrastructure of the complex and works kept on the trails». Aleksey Voitov added that at the session of executive committee of International Union of biathletes the decision of carrying out the prize competitions in memory of Vitaliy Fatianov in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy in April 2012 was also made.

«Thus executive committee complied with application of the Government of Kamchatskiy krai handed in jointly with ОАО «Gazprom» in October 2011», - Aleksey Voitov emphasized.

Currently works in biathlon complex are kept on in compliance with the schedule. 80 million rubles was appropriated for these goals in 2011.
