Consul of the U.S. Consulate General in Vladivostok, Mary Gunn, broke the rule of stay on the territory of the regulated regime for foreigners during the horseback riding in Kamchatka. "She didn't coordinate the trip with FSB," said Victor Rumyantsev, acting head of the representative office of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, to TASS correspondent.

After showing the documents proving the diplomatic status, she was released. Consul was exempt from penalty because of diplomatic immunity.

Mary Gunn has already left to Vladivostok. She was on a private visit at her friend's house, also a U.S. citizen, residing in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

According to the rules, before visiting the territories of the regulated regime, foreigners have to coordinate their plans with FSB and get written permission in advance.
