Kamchatka’s branch of Russia’s FSB confiscated 40 tonnes of salmon fish and over 740 kilograms of red caviar.
The regional branch and the local division of the federal fishery agency organised inspection of fish processing enterprises. Violations were revealed at three plants, where the management failed to prove that the salmon and caviar were legally produced.
The inspection forwarded necessary paperwork to the local police for further investigation.
