The festival “Where kutagarnik grows” took place in Kamchatka. The lovers of picking mushrooms and berries and gathering herbs in forest have been taking part in it for ten years. The organizers are Itelmen, a small northern people living in Kamchatka.
Kutagarnil is the Itelmen name of the forest plant possessing unique healing properties.
The main part of this festival is the aged rite of thanking the nature for generosity.
The visitors could taste berry drinks, birch sap, dishes from fern and mushrooms, berry and pine nut jam and some. Besides visitors were entertained with delicious fish soup.
