Kamchatka Department of The Ministry of Emergency Situations recommends people to be very careful during camping and outdoor activities.
Every year several people die or get injured meeting bears in the forest or on the river bank. Sometimes bears can be seen in the streets of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
Recently, the Crisis Management Centre of Kamchatka region got information about a bear walking in the suburbs of the city. Wild animal was not afraid of people. It was walking around one of the popular cafes for a long time and didn't want to go away. Therefore, wild nature inspectors had to shoot the animal.
